How It Works
From first message to first A*. Here's how.
No contracts, no minimum hours, no complicated sign-up process. Just straightforward tutoring that works around your life and delivers results.
The process
Three steps to get started. Most students have their first session within a week of getting in touch.
01
Tell us what you need
Send us a message with the subject, level, and your child's goals โ whether that's jumping a grade, preparing for a specific exam, or building confidence in a weak area.
We'll respond within 24 hours with a personalised recommendation for a tutor who's the right fit. We consider subject expertise, personality, and teaching style.
02
Meet your tutor (free trial)
The first session is a no-obligation trial. Your child meets their tutor, they assess where things stand, and they start working together. If the match isn't right, we'll find someone better โ no cost, no awkwardness.
During this session, the tutor will identify key areas to focus on and outline a plan for the coming weeks.
03
Regular sessions, real results
Sessions run weekly (or more frequently before exams). Each one is structured with clear objectives โ not just "going over content" but targeted practice that builds exam technique and confidence.
Parents receive regular progress updates so you always know how things are going. Scheduling is flexible and fits around school, hobbies, and life.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can we start?
Usually within a few days. Once you get in touch, we'll recommend a tutor within 24 hours and most students have their first session within a week.
Are your tutors qualified?
Every tutor is a high-achieving university student who scored A*/A or equivalent in the subjects they teach. They've all been vetted and trained on our exam-technique-first methodology. They're not career teachers โ they're the students who recently aced the exact exams your child is preparing for.
How are sessions structured?
Each session has a clear focus โ whether that's a specific topic, past paper practice, or essay technique. Tutors set tasks between sessions and check progress at the start of each one. It's not passive "help with homework" โ it's structured, targeted preparation.
What if the tutor isn't the right fit?
Just tell us. We'll find a better match at no extra cost. Getting the right personality and teaching style matters as much as subject expertise, and we'd rather swap early than force something that isn't working.
Do you offer group sessions?
Our core offering is 1-to-1 tutoring. However, we can arrange small group sessions (2โ3 students studying the same subject) at a reduced per-student rate. Get in touch to discuss.
How do I pay?
We invoice monthly for all sessions completed. Payment is by bank transfer. You'll receive a clear invoice listing every session with dates, durations, and amounts.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. No contracts, no minimum hours, no cancellation fees. Most students work with us weekly, but you can book as frequently or infrequently as you like.
Do you cover my child's specific exam board?
Yes. We cover all major UK exam boards โ AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Cambridge International โ as well as IB. Every session is tailored to the exact specification your child is studying.
Can you help with last-minute exam prep?
Absolutely. We offer intensive revision blocks in the weeks before exams โ multiple sessions per week focused entirely on past paper practice and exam technique. The earlier you get in touch, the more we can cover, but we've helped students make significant progress even with just a few weeks to go.
